Get A Free EstimateEstimates And Scheduling
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Every project starts with a free, no obligation, on site visit from a certified arborist. We look at your actual tree or property and give you a firm price before any work begins.
What happens during the estimate visit?
An arborist walks your property with you, looks at the tree or trees in question, and talks through what we are seeing and why. You get a real, firm recommendation and a price on the spot, with no pressure and no obligation to book anything that day.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Lambertville, NJ and serve Stockton and the surrounding river towns on both sides of the Delaware River in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Just make sure the arborist can get a clear look at the tree or area in question, and have any specific concerns in mind, like a leaning limb, a fence line, or a spot you use often. Everything else, including any measuring or planning, is handled during the visit.
How We Approach The Work
Are your crews licensed and certified?
Yes. Our team includes ISA Certified Arborists, and T&T is licensed by the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts. We are also a member of the Tree Care Industry Association, the national trade group that promotes safety standards across the industry.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in New Jersey?
It depends on your town and, in some cases, on the tree's size and species. Local ordinances vary widely along the Delaware River corridor. When we come out for your free estimate, we will let you know what your municipality requires before any work is scheduled.
How do you decide between treating a tree and removing it?
We would rather treat and save a tree than remove it. Our arborists look at the tree's health, structure, and risk to your property, and will always tell you plainly when removal truly is the safer, better choice, rather than defaulting to removal because it is faster.
How do you protect my property while you work?
Our crews work deliberately around driveways, lawns, fences, and gardens, and clean up thoroughly once the job is done. Our full approach to protecting your property and your information is on our Safety & Security page.
Do you handle emergency tree removal?
Yes. Storm damage, leaning trees, and trees down on a structure or vehicle cannot wait, and we treat them that way. Call 609.397.2700 directly for the fastest response.
Are you insured?
T&T is licensed by the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts and staffed by ISA Certified Arborists. For specifics on our insurance coverage, call us at 609.397.2700 and we are glad to go over it with you directly.
Keeping Trees And Shrubs Healthy
What is Plant Healthcare, and do I need it?
Plant Healthcare is our program for keeping trees and shrubs healthy over time rather than only reacting once something is wrong. We use soil and tissue sampling to identify disease, fungus, insects, or nutrient problems, then build a treatment and monitoring plan around what your landscape actually needs.
How do you figure out what is wrong with a tree or shrub?
Rather than guessing, we test soil and plant tissue to find the real cause, whether that is disease, fungus, insects, or a nutrient gap. That is what points us toward the right treatment instead of a generic one.
Do you keep an eye on trees after they are treated?
Yes. Once a tree or shrub is on a treatment program, we continue monitoring it so we can adjust the plan as conditions change, protecting the value you have invested in your landscape over the long run.
Pricing And Delivery
How is firewood priced?
Firewood is sold by the cord and half cord, in fireplace length (about 18 to 24 inches) or woodstove length (18 inches and under, with a 15 inch small wood option). Price depends on whether it is dumped, stacked from the truck, or wheeled and stacked to your rack. Current season pricing is on our Pricing page.
What is the difference between fireplace wood and woodstove wood?
Fireplace wood is cut to about 18 to 24 inches, the length that fits most fireplaces. Woodstove wood is cut to about 18 inches and under, with an even smaller 15 inch option for compact stoves. Pick whichever length matches what you are burning it in.
What is the difference between dumped, stacked from the truck, and wheeled and stacked?
Dumped means the wood is left in a pile where the truck can reach. Stacked from the truck applies when your wood rack sits within 3 feet of where the truck can park, so it can be stacked directly from there. Wheeled and stacked applies when the rack is farther away and the wood needs to be moved and stacked by hand, and that rate can be adjusted based on exactly where your rack sits.
After The Job Is Done
What happens to the wood and debris after a job?
We handle green waste disposal as part of the job. If you would like to keep the wood, including having it split for firewood, just let us know when we come out for your estimate and we will work that into the plan.
Will my property be cleaned up when you are done?
Yes. Cleanup is part of every job, not an add on. We work carefully around your driveway, lawn, and garden beds throughout, so the finished result is a healthier tree and a property that looks the way it did before we arrived, or better.
